Understand the distinction
A service record can preserve the date, provider and work described on the supplied document. Your own summary should remain separate from the professional’s findings. A routine visit does not automatically confirm every part of a building system.
Put it in your home notes
Keep the report or invoice privately and add a short index entry. Mark recommendations, unresolved questions and any follow-up date stated by the provider. Do not rewrite a tentative finding as a confirmed fault or broaden a limited inspection into a whole-system assurance.
