A fictional cream and sage living room with soft daylight and plants.

Understand the distinction

A window is part of an opening in a building, with surrounding details and exposure. Appearance alone does not identify its thermal characteristics or the best next step. A room’s daylight, comfort and use can also be relevant to the discussion.

Put it in your home notes

Collect existing product records if available and describe recurring concerns. Avoid making a replacement decision from a general photograph or one isolated headline rating. Seek a proposal that explains the actual scope, assumptions and relevant building context.
